The camera on my cell phone dosen’t even begin to do justice to the absolutely beautiful new work by Audrey Pongracz & Tim Pewe for the opening of Splinters & Paper Cuts, so get down to Rivers Edge Gallery and take them in for yourself.
Art Awesomeness Update: Audrey Pongracz & Tim Pewe’s new exhbit Splinters & Paper Cuts opens tonight at Rivers Edge in Wyandotte.
There’s all sorts of exciting things happening over the next few days at Rivers Edge Gallery in Wyandotte. Tonight marks the opening of Detroit Pop (6-10P). A solo show from Simpson & Futurama cartoonist Bill Morrison. Focusing on Detroit musicians this show is pretty much the awesome smorgasbord of colorful goodness you’d expect it to be. Cartoon style!
Speaking of things that are chuck full of colorful goodness… you can also check out the next group show I’m a part of while you’re there, or come back Monday night (6-10P) for the opening of Pushin’ Paint. The whole shebang was put together by Deco23 and will feature work from us, as well some of my other favs in the street art scene, including: Malt, Charles Boike, FARS, Rick Brown & Tead One.
This month is crazy busy, so please excuse me while I become a recluse for the next four weeks. I’ll be coming out of the cave studio on the 16th of June for the opening of Purveyors of Firewater & Opiates with Matthew Ryan Sharp at LIFT, and again on the 25th for the opening of Pushin’ Paint at Rivers Edge in Wyandotte. Come say hi, I’ll be giddy for human interaction.
Had an amazing time at the Reclaimed opening this weekend. Perfect Laughter brought together a really solid group for the show! Don’t just take these slightly fuzzy cell phone pics and my word for it though. Treat yo self to a beer & burger at Sports and then take a stroll down to Rivers Edge Gallery before November 18th to check it out. Slaw’s Fly Now / Pay Later! is also showing in the upstairs gallery!
After a long day of offering quality shines to his customers he wants nothing more than to kick back at his favorite watering hole with some shots and shoot the proverbial shit.
Quality Shine - my piece for the upcoming Reclaimed show at Rivers Edge Gallery. The show was curated by Perfect Laughter and features artwork made on, or with, found and re-purposed objects.
The exhibit opens Friday, October 21st and will run until November 18th.
